Whoever You Are is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and redefine care standards. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be vital in providing compassionate care and essential skills to individuals with disabilities. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure that each participant receives the highest quality of care. We currently have 15-25 hours available throughout the week, with weekend work available and sleepovers if required.
Weekday rates will vary from $36.81-$45.28 an hour, depending on experience
Saturday and Sunday Rates if required
More hours will become available as we grow our participant base in the area
This role would suit anyone looking to get into the industry, a university student studying a health-related degree or an experienced worker
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and personalised care to individuals with disabilities.
Assist with activities of daily living and accessing the community
Support participants in developing independent living skills
Facilitate community access and participation
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Assist with personal care
Requirements
While our participant has expressed a preference for a female support worker,
we welcome and encourage applications from all qualified candidates who align with the role's requirements. Our primary goal is to find the absolute best match for the position and any positions that may be opening up in the area
Experience in Personal Care: Including showering, grooming, manual handling and hoisting/transfers. (The shifts will include personal care, so this is necessary for this particular participant)
Experience or qualifications in disability support
A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust teamwork skills
A willingness to continuously learn and grow
Current First Aid and CPR certification
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current driver's license and reliable car with insurance
