The Chance

Due to continued growth across their national platform, the firm is seeking a motivated 2 to 5 year PQE Lawyer to join their high-performing Sydney Banking & Finance team.

In this role, you will work side-by-side with the Partner who is a highly regarded industry expert specializing in complex corporate finance, structured property development finance, and security restructurings. You will gain immediate, hands-on exposure to high-profile matters, including syndicated and bilateral facilities, loan note subscriptions, and massive project finance portfolios.

The firm will provide the comprehensive mentorship and technical training needed to successfully re-track your career.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft and negotiate bilateral/syndicated facility agreements and security documentation.
- Advise on complex financial structures, trust arrangements, and PPSA matters.
- Conduct rigorous due diligence on major corporate transaction documents and construction/supply contracts.
- Manage property finance files for major institutional banks, property developers, and multinational corporations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional corporate and real estate teams on major transactional milestones.

About You

- 2 to 5 years’ PQE gained within a reputable national, mid-tier, or boutique corporate law firm.
- Experience in Banking & Finance law OR a strong transactional background in Corporate / Commercial law with a desire to pivot.
- Sharp commercial acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic, strategic advice directly to sophisticated clients.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and project management capabilities.
- A team-first attitude who thrives in a collaborative, energetic, and high-performing environment.
