The Role:

The Senior Project Controls Engineer is accountable for the performance and management of the project controls functional area for very large multidisciplinary high risk capital engineering and construction projects. The project controls function is responsible for project planning and scheduling, project cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting.

More specifically this role roles will entail;

- Monitoring of project budget and economic position of the project .
- Management team and Corporate management team and participate in regular project meetings.
- Oversee project baseline process for cost, schedule and progress and ensure all project systems are implemented according to process and company standards and procedures including the interface between Primavera P6 and Project Cost Control (PCC)
- Have a thorough understanding of internal procedures and liaise with the Project Managers to determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed. Guide and direct resolution of project difficulties and complex project control issues.
- Prepare reports regarding project status and proactively resolve any problems that may arise. Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.
- Establish risk management protocol which includes identification,



documentation, mitigation and tracking of potential risks on the project.
- collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team. Liaise with Project Managers to ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
- Establish and manage project schedule development, review and update processes and ensure accuracy and alignment with the overall master schedule.
- Coordinate with cross functional team in project setting, ensure project controls team members are interfacing with engineering, procurement, contracts and construction on concepts and relationships to the scope of work and ensure adherence to safety, environment and quality standards.

Competencies we're seeking:

Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture. Master in complementary field (Highly valued)

At least 12 years post graduate experience with 9 years project based, including management

Strong analytical skills required to review all project controls information and ensure accuracy as well as identify issues, concerns and potential mitigations

Working experience with Primavera, Oracle Unifier (Preferred), , Excel, Autocad / Revit /Bluebeam (Highly valued)
