Based at Gallipoli Barracks in Enoggera,you'lljoin Wodonga TAFE'sDefenceDriver Training team, delivering engaging classroom and practical instruction to Army personneloperatingMercedes-Benz G Wagons, MAN 40M, HX77 vehicles and associated trailers.You'llalso have opportunities to develop your capability acrossadditionalmilitary vehicle platforms.
Working within an experienced and supportive team,you'llassess driver competency, coach learners to achieveDefencestandards and help deliver nationallyrecogniseddriver training thatemphasisessafety, operationalexcellenceand professionalism. Training and assessment are deliveredin accordance withDefencerequirements, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and Wodonga TAFE's commitment to continuous improvement,qualityand professional standards.

Selected Duties:
- Deliver high-quality classroom and practical driver training toDefencepersonnelinaccordancewithapprovedDefence, Industry and Wodonga TAFE standards and frameworks.
- Conduct on-road and off-road driver assessments,
providing constructive feedback and coaching to develop safe,competentand confident drivers.
- Promote a strong safety culture bycomplying withWHS requirements, applyingappropriate PPE, and actively contributing to risk management and incident prevention.
- Identifylearner and program improvement opportunities, contributing to the ongoing development of training resources, deliverymethodsand assessment practices.
- Adapt training approaches to suit diverse learning needs whilemaintaininghigh standardsof safety,professionalismand operational effectiveness.
- Build positive relationships with learners,colleaguesandDefencestakeholders through clear communication,collaborationand professionalism.
- Maintain regulatory fitness to drive and ensure all training and assessment activities meet legislative andorganisationalcompliance requirements.
- Represent Wodonga TAFE with integrity, professionalism and accountability whilecontributing to a positive, high-performingteamculture.

Must be an Australian Citizen to be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
Must be able to undertake a pre-employment medical.
QLDDriver’sLicencewithminimumHRendorsementwith12monthsHRdrivingexperience
Willing to obtain a Heavy Combination Licence with a timeframe stipulated on contract acceptance, at your own expense.
Commitment to completion of TAEASS412, TLIM0011 and other requirements of the Assistant Driving Instructors course.
Transport industry experience.
