NW Mining & Civil are seeking a qualified, experienced and reliable Diesel Fitter to join our team as we commence the construction and operation of a tin mine near Mount Garnet.

Beginning in August, the initial stage of the work building a tailings dam and operating the production pit will run for approximately 2.5 years. Further work is expected to follow.

As the sole Diesel Fitter on site, with assistance from a serviceman you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, repair & tyre fitting of the entire fleet of machinery, equipment and vehicles, including CAT and Volvo earthmoving gear and Toyota light vehicles.

Experience in a similar role is essential, you must be able to work autonomously to fault find, diagnose and repair all manner of issues that will arise. You will also be required to maintain equipment maintenance records to a high standard.

Employee (casual to perm) or Subby (ABN) options are available.





You must be able to provide your own tools.

Along with experience, your work ethic and safety attitude will be vital to the success of the project. We need someone who is a team player, a excellent communicator and committed to the safety of yourself and everyone around you.

Roster will be Monday to Friday, working 12hr shifts. Local Mount Garnet applicants are preferred, meals and accommodation are provided for those able to BIBO from as far as Cairns/Innisfail/Atherton. Please note accommodation includes shared bathroom facilities.

Pay rate negotiable based on experience, qualifications and tooling/vehicle you can provide.

Please ensure you meet the following mandatory criteria to apply:

- Relevant Fitting trade qualification
- Tyre fitting experience
- HR truck licence
- Be able to pass medical and D&A; screening
- Be competent on a computer to be able to complete all site online induction requirements
