Job Title: Temporary Assets and Facilities Manager
Location: Gold Coast, QLD
Work Type: Contract/Temp (6 Months with Potential Extension)
Rate: AO7 $85-94per hour + super
The Prospect Are you a strategic asset professional looking to make an immediate impact on high-profile public infrastructure? We are seeking an experienced Assets and Facilities Manager to support critical infrastructure management and operations on the beautiful Gold Coast.
This is an immediate-start, six-month contract with the possibility of an extension. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring regional assets and facilities are maintained, optimised, and planned for the future, working across an office in Main Beach and on-site at The Spit as required.
The Role Stepping into this temporary full-time position, you will be the driving force behind continuous improvement in asset management practices. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Leading procurement planning and contract management for crucial operations and maintenance (O&M;) activities.
- Procuring and managing contracts for Asset Condition Assessments, including liaising directly with structural engineers to determine options for asset investment planning.
- Developing, updating, and implementing Asset Management Plans, Policies, and related procedures with indexed replacement costs and condition assessment data.
- Managing leases, licences, and permits for the use and occupation of building and infrastructure assets.
- Coordinating routine asset inspections, surveys, and audits to inform long-term financial planning and annual budgets.
- Preparing and delivering reports and presentations on asset performance to executive committees and boards.
About You
To hit the ground running in this fast-paced contract, we are looking for a candidate with approximately 10 years of relevant industry experience. You will bring:
- A degree specialising in asset management, civil/coastal/environmental engineering, or a highly related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure asset management, procurement, and contract administration.
- A strong background in managing leases, user permits, and facilities maintenance.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with local managers, stakeholders, and external consultants.
- The personal drive to act professionally, seek solutions, and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
