Red Dog Campers RV Services and Modifications is seeking an experienced Second Auto Electrician and RV Specialist to join our growing team in Arundel, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse automotive and recreational vehicle electrical systems in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You will be based at our Arundel facility where you'll have access to modern diagnostic equipment and the chance to work on a variety of vehicles and RV modifications. What you'll be doing

- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in recreational vehicles and automotive applications using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
- Perform installations of custom electrical systems, battery management systems, solar panels and auxiliary power solutions for RVs
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical components, including alternators,



starters, batteries and wiring systems
- Fabricate and install custom wiring harnesses and electrical modifications to meet client specifications
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems and provide technical solutions that meet safety and compliance standards
- Collaborate with other team members to complete RV modifications and service work efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian electrical safety standards and automotive regulations
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding electrical issues, repair timelines and costs
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

- Formal qualification in automotive electrical work, such as a Certificate III or IV in Automotive Electrical Technology
- Proven experience as an auto electrician with a minimum of 3-5 years in the automotive trades industry
- Demonstrated expertise in RV electrical systems, solar installations and all brands of battery management systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics and proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and equipment




- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work methodically through complex electrical issues
- Valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Physical fitness to perform tasks that may require standing, climbing and working in confined spaces
- Reliability, punctuality and a solid work ethic with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Familiarity with RV systems such as Victron converters, inverters and auxiliary charging systems is highly desirable
- Experience with custom fabrication and installation work is preferred
