The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is one of the largest police forces in the western world, with more than 20,000 employees, including more than 4,000 administrative employees who support the sworn officers that provide a range of law and order services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the socially, geographically and culturally diverse community of NSW.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Data Research Analyst to be part of our Impaired Driving Research Unit team, Traffic and Highway Patrol. The Data Research Analyst contributes to the emerging issues analysis process through systematic scanning and research to support the identification of emerging issues. The Data Research Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Unit's research projects and administrative functions. The position is primarily responsible for the collection, management and analysis of data relating to Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (DUID) and Roadside Drug Testing (RDT) matters. The successful applicant will also undertake research activities and reviews to enhance understanding of emerging and evolving drug trends, contributing to evidence-based decision making and strategic outcomes.
