IP Network Engineer - SydneyAs an IP Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale IP networking solutions across telecommunications, service provider, or large enterprise environments. You will work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructure. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience as an IP Network Engineer within telecommunications, service provider, or large enterprise environments.

Strong knowledge of IP networking technologies and routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6. Experience designing, implementing, and supporting carrier-grade or mobile core IP networks.Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex, multi-vendor networking environments. Strong understanding of routing, switching, redundancy, and high-availability network architectures.





Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business teams. Experience working in customer-facing consulting or managed services environments. Experience with data centre networking technologies, including Cisco ACI and EVPN-VXLAN.Experience managing enterprise security platforms such as Fortinet, Check Point, F5, or equivalent.

Exposure to network automation and scripting using tools such as Python, Ansible, NetBox, or similar platforms. Knowledge of cloud networking concepts across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with telecommunications operational environments and industry best practices.

Solid IP/MPLS design, implementation, and troubleshooting capability. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP routing in carrier or enterprise environments. CCIE Certification (Routing & Switching / Enterprise Infrastructure or equivalent) – Mandatory.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. CCIE Certification (Mandatory). Additional certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent will be considered advantageous.
