About this opportunity

This position takes responsibility for actively sourcing funding opportunities, preparing high quality funding proposals and coordinating the compilation of supporting information from internal and external stakeholders to support proposals. Furthermore, this position will support funding opportunities from commencement through to finalisation by administering claims, reporting and other agreement activities. Key to this role is the ability to develop and work in partnership with funding bodies, ensuring a positive reflection on Council.

The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim, with hybrid alternatives also considered.

Additionally, you’ll also …

- Monitor and evaluate funding application outcomes and funded project progress, obtaining relevant feedback and identifying scope, delivery and timeframe risks to inform corrective actions,



strengthen project governance and improve the quality and effectiveness of future submissions.
- Develop an external funding framework and governance model that supports identified projects already within a project pipeline or existing planning documents.
- Undertake day to day grant management activities including execution of funding agreements, preparation of progress reports funding claims, general ledger and expenditure, media approvals, and responses to ad hoc requests for reports from funding partners.
- Prepare high quality funding applications, ensuring Council's opportunities to obtain external funding are maximised.

About you…

- Tertiary qualifications in business, local government or relevant disciplines with extensive equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Proven experience in developing and managing funding applications, administration, acquittal and progress reporting.
- High level interpersonal, communication, presentation and customer relations skills, including consultation and negotiation, with the ability to apply these skills to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare budgets and understand financial reporting.
- Self-motivated and well organised, with a commitment to continuous improvement using research, analytics and problem solving to develop solutions and make recommendations to management.
