Project Manager | Hands on | Field Service (Pumps)

About the Role: We're looking for a Project Manager to lead a field service crew working on pump installation and repair across Central Coast water treatment sites. This is not a desk-based PM role — you'll be the company's rep on site, running the job day-to-day and working hands‑on alongside the crew. If you're after a suit-and-laptop project management gig, this isn't it. If you want to lead from the front and still get stuck in, it is.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Leading and coordinating a 3-man field service crew (fitter, electrician and yourself) in office, day to day

- Getting hands‑on with installation, fault‑finding and repair of pumps, motors and associated equipment

- Acting as the company's on‑site representative, liaising directly with the client's site supervisors and engineers

- Planning and sequencing daily work to meet job deadlines and client requirements

- Ensuring safety compliance is followed on site, including JSEAs, permits to work, isolations and risk assessments

- Reviewing and signing off service reports, job notes and photographic evidence of completed work





- Ordering parts and materials and coordinating logistics for the crew

- Mentoring and upskilling less experienced crew members on site

Requirements

- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or licensed Electrician (other trades considered with solid experience in pumps or water treatment jobs)

- Holds a White Card

- Confined Spaces ticket (or willing to obtain)

- Working at Heights ticket (or willing to obtain)

- At least 3 years post-trade experience working in the pump industry

- Experience working on water treatment jobs, field service, or marine field service highly regarded

- MR licence highly regarded

- Comfortable leading a small crew while still doing the physical work yourself — this isn't a desk job

- Candidates with lighter experience who supply their own tool van or ute may qualify for an additional hourly loading

- Fully serviced work ute once made permanent

- Casual position via Rockmount, with the option to go full-time with the client post-contract
