About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Events Specialist to join our Events team.

Reporting to the Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering a diverse portfolio of major events, festivals and civic events that bring people together and create memorable experiences for our community. You'll oversee event logistics from concept to delivery, ensuring events are safe, compliant, well-executed and delivered within budget.

You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, as well as contractors, community groups and volunteers, to deliver engaging, high-quality events while helping to continuously evolve and elevate the City’s events program.

About you

We’re seeking an organised and detail-oriented events professional with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives in a collaborative team environment. You enjoy bringing community events to life and take pride in delivering high-quality experiences.

You’ll bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, excellent organisational abilities and the confidence to manage multiple priorities,



all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have:

- Tertiary qualification in Events Management, Project Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience planning and delivering events
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of event risk management, health and safety requirements and operational planning
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check

Salary and Benefits: Salary range from Level 5 Step 1 – Step 4 ($96,998.46 - $102,899.20) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
