Rollco is a proud member of the largest privately owned steel distribution group in Australia. Established in 1981, they specialise in cold roll bending and pressing of sectional and plate steel.

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team on day shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded and eager to build a long-term career in the steel and manufacturing industry. Whether you have experience in construction, manufacturing, machine operation, or are an apprentice looking for a new opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

On-the job training and mentorship is provided making this the perfect role for someone who wants to develop their skills while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, steel, industrial, or workshop environments is highly regarded.
- Experience operating machinery or using hand and power tools is an advantage but not essential.
- A mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- A reliable, motivated, and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What you’ll be doing

- Learn to safely operate and set up plate rolling and press brake machines
- Operate overhead travelling cranes (full training provided)
- Read and interpret basic drawings and specifications
- Maintain safe and efficient machine operation at all times
- Working collaboratively with the team to achieve production targets
