Electrical Engineering Technician Employer: Integra Switchboards Pty Ltd Location: Brendale, Queensland 4500 Position: Full-time Salary: AUD 80,000 to A$90,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience Integra Switchboards Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join their team in Brendale, Queensland. The successful candidate will support the design, manufacture, testing, commissioning and quality checking of low-voltage electrical switchboards, distribution boards, motor control centres and control panels. This role is suited to a technically competent person with experience in electrical systems, switchboard manufacture, testing procedures, technical drawings, electrical components and Australian electrical standards.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Assisting Electrical Engineers, project managers and senior technical staff with the design and layout of electrical switchboards, distribution boards, motor control centres, control panels, cabling arrangements and associated electrical systems.
- Preparing, interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, schematics and electrical plans for switchboard manufacturing projects.
- Conducting tests on electrical systems, components and switchboard assemblies to confirm operational performance, safety and compliance with project specifications.
- Collecting technical data, recording test results, performing calculations, preparing test documentation, charts, reports and tabulations for engineering and quality assurance purposes.
- Assisting with estimating material requirements, component quantities, labour requirements and project costs for switchboard and electrical assembly works.
- Inspecting designs, manufactured switchboards and completed electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, Australian Standards,



client requirements and safety requirements.
- Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying and repairing electrical equipment, switchboard components, protection devices, metering equipment, indicating devices and control equipment.
- Supporting workshop electrical functions, including installation of assemblies for protection relays, metering devices, control circuits and electrical indicating equipment.
- Assisting with fault finding, technical problem solving and rectification of electrical issues during manufacture, testing and commissioning.
- Liaising with internal design, fabrication, assembly and project teams to ensure switchboards are delivered accurately, safely and on time.
- Maintaining accurate technical records, testing records, compliance documents and quality assurance documentation.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, project specifications and relevant Australian Standards.

Skills and experience required

- Diploma or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Atleast 2 years of experience in electrical switchboard manufacture, electrical systems, control panels, distribution boards, motor control centres or similar electrical engineering environments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical specifications.
- Experience conducting electrical tests, recording results and assisting with technical reporting.
- Knowledge of electrical components such as circuit breakers, busbars, contactors, relays, metering equipment, control devices, terminals and cabling systems.

- Ability to work safely and effectively in a workshop/manufacturing environment.
- Positive communication skills and ability to work as part of a technical project team.
