Cowan Restoration Group is one of Australia's leading restoration companies, providing specialist water damage, fire damage, mould remediation and catastrophe response services to the insurance industry.

Due to continued growth in Queensland, we're looking for an experienced Restoration Estimator to join our Brisbane team.

About the Role

As a Restoration Estimator, you'll play a critical role in the success of every project. You'll attend loss sites, assess damage, prepare detailed restoration scopes and estimates, manage variations, and work closely with insurers, loss adjusters, technicians and customers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with insurance restoration experience who enjoys being on-site, solving problems and taking ownership of projects from assessment through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend residential and commercial loss sites to assess damage.

- Prepare accurate restoration scopes and cost estimates.

- Assess water, fire and mould damage and determine the most appropriate restoration methodology.

- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, builders and customers.

- Identify and manage scope variations.

- Maintain accurate job documentation and reporting.





- Ensure claims are completed in accordance with insurer requirements.

- Support project delivery through accurate estimating and commercial awareness.

- Assist with project handovers and ongoing job management where required.

About You

You'll ideally have:

- Previous experience in insurance restoration estimating.

- Experience with water, fire and mould restoration.

- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes.

- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.

- Current driver's licence.

Highly regarded:

- IICRC qualifications.

- Experience using OPSManager, Albi, Xactimate or similar estimating platforms.

- Building or trade background.

- Experience preparing insurance scopes and estimates.
