Learning Support Officer (Teacher Aide) - In Class Support

Lourdes Hill College is seeking a passionate and caring Learning Support Officer to join our Faculty of Differentiated Learning on a part-time basis, working up to 4 days per week.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Officer, you will work alongside teachers to support students in achieving their personal best. You will help create an inclusive learning workplace where every student is encouraged, supported and empowered to succeed.

Our Faculty of Differentiated Learning provides targeted support for students' literacy and numeracy development, extension opportunities for high-achieving learners, and specialised support through the College's Mirragin Program.

What You'll Be Doing

Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, you will:

- Support students to engage confidently with classroom learning.

- Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning activities and resources.





- Provide support to individual students and small groups within classrooms and breakout learning spaces.

- Encourage student participation, independence and confidence.

- Build positive relationships that foster wellbeing, resilience and a love of learning.

- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment aligned with the College's Good Samaritan Benedictine values.

About You

You will bring:

- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.

- Qualifications relevant to the role (such as a Certificate III or IV in Education Support, Administration, or similar), or be currently working towards one.

- Previous experience in a school support or education setting (secondary school experience is highly regarded).

Experience supporting students from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, together with a commitment to culturally responsive practice, will be highly regarded.
