Afternoon Duty Manager - Wellness Centre

Afternoon Duty Manager – Permanent Full time

Tuesday–Saturday | 38 Hours

You're the kind of person people rely on when things get busy. You stay calm under pressure, take pride in your work, and genuinely enjoy looking after people.

Maybe you're over split shifts, unpredictable rosters, midnight finishes and working every day of the weekend.

This could be the role you've been looking for.

Central Coast Float has been helping people feel better for over 10 years and is now based in our purpose-built wellness centre in Umina Beach.

We are a wellness and recovery space where we help people get genuine relief from stress, tension, burnout and pain — floatation therapy, a bathhouse with Finnish sauna and hot and cold spas, private infrared saunas, massage and breathwork.

We're a small, hands-on team with over 400 five-star reviews. Those reviews didn't happen by accident—they're the result of genuinely caring about the little things. We're looking for someone who shares that mindset.

THE DEAL

- Permanent full-time position — 38 hours per week
- Tuesday–Friday: 1:00pm–8:30pm
Saturday: 11:00am–7:00pm
(A busy night might run 15 minutes over, but never past 8:45pm.)
- $34/hour flat rate ($67k+ per year plus super). This rate already includes evening and Saturday penalties.
- Four weeks paid annual leave, paid public holidays and the security of a permanent position with the same roster every week.
- No split shifts. Ever.
- Every Sunday and Monday off.
- Membership sign-up bonuses on top of your wage. If you can genuinely help guests find the right membership, you'll be rewarded.
- Complimentary access to our float pods, Bathhouse, infrared saunas and cold plunge. We want our team using what we offer—you can’t recommend something authentically if you’ve never experienced it yourself.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll often be the person running the venue—and that's one of the best parts of the job.

You'll welcome guests, set the tone for their visit and have genuine conversations to help match them with the right service, membership or product.

Between sessions you'll reset float rooms, saunas and treatment spaces to an exceptional standard. Cleanliness and attention to detail aren't optional—they're a huge part of why people choose us.

You'll also answer phones and emails, manage bookings, monitor water quality, solve problems when they arise and lock up at the end of the night.

This isn't a desk job.

You'll spend much of the shift on your feet, resetting rooms, lifting spa lids, keeping the venue spotless and making sure everything is ready for the next guest.

Some shifts are flat out. Others are quieter. You need to be comfortable with both and able to use your initiative without needing someone looking over your shoulder.

WHO YOU ARE

- Reliable above everything — the venue runs on you being there
- Warm, genuine presence — people feel looked after the moment they walk in
- Happy doing physical work every shift — cleaning and resetting rooms is half the job
- Happy working solo and taking ownership of a shift
- Actually into health and wellbeing — not just for the interview
- Strong communicator face-to-face, on the phone and in writing
- Confident on a computer — booking system, email, socials, spreadsheets
- Takes pride in a clean, well-presented space, and not afraid to get their hands dirty
- Full permanent working rights in Australia

If you've worked in hospitality, cafés, gyms, retail or customer service and you're great at what you do, the skills transfer well.

What matters most isn't that you've worked in wellness before—it's that you genuinely care about people, take pride in your work and want to be part of a small business that sets high standards.

As we continue to grow, there'll also be opportunities to get involved in sales, marketing and business operations for the right person.
