Metiri is a locally owned and managed multi-discipline consulting firm based in Toronto, Lake Macquarie NSW. We specialise in land development and offer a wide range of engineering, surveying and planning services via a team of experienced professionals.
The Role
Due to an increased and sustained demand for our services, we are searching for a surveyor to join our team. The position presents an opportunity for career growth and increased responsibility where you will play a key role in delivering work on projects ranging from single dwellings to multi-stage master planned estates.
Unlike in a large firm, you won't be pigeonholed in a department and will have a great variety of work. Depending on your level of skills, your typical daily activities could involve survey calculations, fieldwork preparation, fieldwork, drafting and reporting.

- Torrens, Community & Strata Title Subdivisions
- Boundary Surveys
- Identification Surveys
- Topographical Detail Surveys
- Water Depth Surveys
- Foreshore Identification Surveys
- Construction Set-out Surveys
- UAV photogrammetry Surveys
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Enrolled or completed degree or diploma level surveying qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of cadastral/construction surveying experience.
- Strong understanding of survey techniques and relevant legislation.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD Software (Civil3D further beneficial).
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments (Trimble equipment desirable).
- Excellent communication skills - able to speak and write clearly and concisely.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills - able to work autonomously whilst managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Solid computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly and adapt to changes in technologies and programs.
