Job Description

Jak Hospitality Group is seeking expression of interest from qualified and experienced Chefs (multiple positions) for Parkview Hotel (Orange), Millthorpe Hotel (Central West), Parrot Distilling Co (Orange) NSW locations. The role requires Diploma in Hospitality and a Certificate IV in Cookery or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Salary range offered is $80,000 to $82,000 plus superannuation dependent on your skills, experience, and uniqueness the candidate will bring to the business.

An ideal candidate should be professionally qualified and/or experienced in a busy workplace and can work under pressure. These Chef roles are open to local applicants as overseas Chefs with a motivation to learn and dedication to learn and contribute to our business vision. Reporting to the Head Chef, key duties for this position are as follows:

- Leading, mentoring, and managing the kitchen team.




- Managing all aspects of the kitchen including planning menus, production schedules, food costing analysis, budgeting, and staffing levels.
- Leading the kitchen to deliver a unique dining experience and signature offerings.
- Developing and planning menus and daily specials.
- Providing day to day direction, guidance, and training to the kitchen team in cooking, assembling and presentation techniques.
- Maintaining standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Controlling stock and food quality, as well as regulate inventory and wastage control.
- Ensuring compliance of food hygiene, sanitation, equipment, and statutory requirements
- Establishing maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Participating in interview process and selection of kitchen staff.
