Command Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated Aged Care Careworkers to join our team on a casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by providing direct care and support within our aged care services. Based in Ryde and Macquarie Park, Sydney NSW, this role offers flexibility whilst enabling you to contribute to the wellbeing and dignity of our residents.

As a Careworker, you will be an essential part of our care team, supporting older people to maintain their independence, comfort and quality of life.

MUST HAVE OWN CAR , VALID LICENSE AND COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE

Key responsibilities

- Provide personal care assistance including toileting, bathing, dressing and grooming to maintain residents' hygiene and dignity
- Assist residents with mobility and transferring using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure their safety
- Support residents with activities of daily living and encourage independence where possible
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within clients homes.
- Communicate compassionately with residents and their families, listening to their needs and concerns
- Respond promptly to resident requests and report any changes in health or wellbeing to rostering manager.
- Support clients with meals and encourage adequate nutrition and hydration
- Assist with recreational activities and social engagement to promote clients emotional wellbeing
- Adhere to aged care standards, health and safety protocols, and infection control procedures
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure quality outcomes for clients.

What we're looking for

- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Clearance




- Demonstrated experience working in aged care, disability support or a similar care workplace
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse individuals
- Physical fitness and ability to assist with manual handling and mobility support
- Compassion, patience and genuine commitment to person-centred care
- Reliability and flexibility to work in a casual capacity across various shifts including weekends
- Understanding of and commitment to aged care standards and best practice principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
