We're seeking a proactive procurement professional to join a collaborative team responsible for delivering efficient, compliant and value-driven procurement services. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Coordinator Fleet & Procurement, you'll play a key role in ensuring the effective procurement of goods and services, supporting contract compliance and maintaining strong supplier relationships across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities across a broad range of goods and services
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Manage tendering activities, RFQs and Expressions of Interest (EOIs)
- Develop and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Coordinate stocktakes and inventory processes
- Provide procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders
- Deliver procurement training and promote best practice
- Support contract administration and procurement governance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operationsAssist in maintaining efficient and cost-effective purchasing processes
About You
- Certificate IV in Procurement (or equivalent), or a minimum of four years' experience in a similar procurement environment
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or contract management
- Experience managing tenders, RFQs and supplier relationships
- Solid knowledge of procurement policies, governance and compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Previous Local Government procurement experience will be highly regarded.
