Team Leader – Sales & Member Experience

Reports To: Club Manager

Purpose of the Position

The Team Leader – Sales & Member Experience is a key leadership role responsible for driving membership growth, leading the Sales, HYPOXI and Reception teams, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the club.

Working closely with the Club Manager, you will coach and develop the team, drive sales performance, improve member retention and ensure every member and visitor receives an exceptional experience. You will lead by example, foster a culture of accountability and deliver strong commercial results while creating a positive and supportive club environment.

This role is ideal for a confident, motivated and results-driven leader who is passionate about developing people, achieving targets and celebrating success. Performance-based bonuses are available for achieving club growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

- Lead, coach and motivate the Sales, HYPOXI and Reception teams.

- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.

- Recruit, onboard and develop team members.

- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews and training.

- Support the Club Manager and act in their absence when required.

Sales & Growth

- Achieve club membership growth and sales targets.

- Drive enquiries, appointments, tours and conversions.

- Ensure timely follow-up of all leads.

- Monitor team KPIs and coach for improved performance.

- Promote Personal Training, HYPOXI, FIIT30, Reformer Pilates and other club services.

Member Experience

- Deliver exceptional service to every member and visitor.

- Build strong member relationships to improve retention.

- Resolve member enquiries and concerns professionally.

- Support new member onboarding and engagement.

- Promote club events, challenges and referral programs.

Operations

- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Reception.

- Manage staff rosters, leave and shift coverage.





- Ensure accurate administration, memberships and direct debits.

- Maintain high presentation standards throughout the club.

- Ensure compliance with club policies and procedures.

Performance & Reporting

- Monitor and report on:

- Membership growth

- Sales performance

- Conversion rates

- Follow-up compliance

- Member retention

- Team KPIs

- Analyse results and implement improvement strategies.

Marketing & Community

- Support marketing campaigns and local community initiatives.

- Assist with social media and promotional activities.

- Encourage member participation in club programs and events.

Key Performance Indicators

Skills & Experience

- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

- Proven success in sales and achieving targets.

- Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.

- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

- Experience using CRM or membership management systems.

- Ability to analyse performance and drive results.
