Job Description
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and dedicated Support Workers who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people living with disability.
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, inclusion and community participation. You will work closely with participants to achieve their individual goals while ensuring their safety, wellbeing and dignity.
Opportunities may become available across a range of programs, including community-based supports, supported independent living (SIL), short-term accommodation, and day programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in accordance with individual support plans.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Support participants with community access, appointments and social activities.
- Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, household duties and budgeting.
- Administer medication in accordance with organisational policies (where appropriately trained).
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
- Promote participant choice, independence and skill development.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Follow all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and organisational policies.
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
- Adaptable and adaptable to meet the varied needs of our participants.
- Available for casual work and able to cover shifts at short notice.
- Any experience is preferred at this stage
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality support tailored to the needs and goals of participants.
- Assisting with daily living tasks, community engagement, and skill-building activities.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of participants at all times.
- Collaborating with the team to deliver person-centered support.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in disability support or similar roles (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- A valid Australian driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
