About Us?

The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.

The Regional and Specialist team includes Integrated Specialist Services, Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, Primary Healthcare Services, Birthing and Early Childhood Services (South), and Child and Youth Services. Our purpose is to connect, guide, and empower teams and communities through culturally protected, transparent, and responsive ways.

At Staying Deadly | headspace Deception Bay, we're creating safe, welcoming spaces where young Mob can access the support they need to thrive. We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Administration Support Officer who is passionate about supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of First Nations young people and communities.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for many young people and families,



you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and culturally safe experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

You'll help keep our service running smoothly by coordinating appointments, supporting service delivery, organising transport, maintaining records, and ensuring young people can access the support they need when they need it.

What You'll Be Doing

- Welcoming young people, families, staff, and visitors with warmth, respect, and professionalism.
- Coordinating appointments, calendars, transport, and case conferences to support seamless care.
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy multidisciplinary health and wellbeing service.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records and reporting systems.
- Coordinating room bookings and supporting visiting clinicians and service providers.
- Helping create a positive, culturally safe, and inclusive environment for young people and staff.
- Working alongside a passionate team committed to improving outcomes for First Nations youth.

About You

You are organised, friendly, reliable, and enjoy working with people. You understand the importance of community, culture, and connection,



and you're committed to helping create a welcoming environment where young people feel safe, heard, and supported.

What You'll Bring

- Current Criminal History Check.
- Experience working in an administration, reception, or service coordination role.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary health, community services, or clinic environment.
- Previous experience using electronic patient management or client information systems.
- Strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Highly Valued

Understanding of culturally safe and trauma-informed approaches to service delivery.
