We are seeking a skilled Electronic Security Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Sydney Based. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working on-site. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security infrastructure operates efficiently and meets the needs of our clients.

Position Duties

System Installation:

- Install and configure access control systems, CCTV cameras, and intrusion detection systems.
- Mount and wire devices such as door controllers, card readers, and video equipment.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

- Diagnose and resolve system faults and malfunctions efficiently.
- Perform regular system inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability.

System Programming:

- Program and integrate security systems with software and network infrastructure.
- Test all components to ensure compatibility and optimal functionality.

Client Support & Training:





- Provide technical support and training to clients on system usage and troubleshooting.
- Address customer inquiries and ensure timely issue resolution.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, and configurations.
- Generate service reports and update management on project progress.

Skills / Experience required for the position

- Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology and Trade certificate or equivalent experience,
- 3+ years of experience in electronic security systems installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in wiring, hardware installation, and system programming.
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, alarms, and intercom systems.
- Knowledge of network protocols (IP, TCP/IP) and basic networking.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Licensing Requirements

- NSW 2C Security Licence
- Open Cabling Licence
- Driving Licence
- OH&S; Construction Induction White Card

Preferred Skills

- Certifications such as Inner Range Integriti, ICT Protege and Hikvision.
- Experience with IP-based security systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to security equipment.
