Axiom College is seeking an experienced and passionate Childcare Trainer & Assessor to join our growing team in Milton, Queensland.

This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality vocational education and training within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. In this role, you will support students to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to achieve successful outcomes and become job-ready for the industry.

You will play a key role in delivering engaging training and assessment, maintaining compliance with vocational education standards, and fostering positive student engagement and completion rates across both classroom and workplace learning environments. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will contribute to the continued growth and success of our training programs while helping students achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, interactive, and industry-relevant training sessions in Early Childhood Education and Care

Conduct both classroom-based and workplace training and assessment

Provide individual mentoring and tailored support to students

Assess student work in accordance with RTO standards and provide constructive, timely feedback

Travel to regional clients and students as required

Maintain accurate training and assessment records in line with compliance requirements

Collaborate with the broader training team to continuously improve course delivery and student outcomes

Stay current with industry developments, best practice, and regulatory changes

What We’re Looking For

Hold a TAE40122, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher or the previous TAE40110 plus TAELLN411/TAELLN401A and TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B.





Hold a minimum of Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Have demonstrable industry experience in the Early Childhood Education Industry

Minimum 5 years of recent industry experience across the Childcare Education industry

Demonstrated ability to support strong client learning outcomes, participation, retention, and completion rates

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement

Ability to complete a Police Check and hold a Working with Vulnerable People Check

Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check) – mandatory

Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
