What this opportunity involves:

Reporting directly to the Marina Manager, the Marina Attendant is an essential part of the Sydney Boathouse operations team, supporting the smooth running of our premium waterfront facility. This hands‑on role combines technical marina operations with outstanding customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a energetic marine environment. You'll manage vessel movements, coordinate essential services, and ensure our facility maintains the highest operational standards. and you'll experience this firsthand as you build positive relationships with yacht crews, berth holders, contractors, and the broader boating community. This role requires weekend availability and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional experiences in a marine setting.

An overview of the role:

- Provide high-level general marina services and deliver exceptional customer service to all marina customers and visitors

- Manage day‑to‑day vessel movements using Boat Cloud App, coordinating berthing operations efficiently

- Operate forklifts and handle boats with advanced skills to support marina operations and vessel movements

- Connect vessels with essential supplies including electricity, fresh water, and sewage pump‑out services

- Respond to telephone enquiries and provide accurate information about marina services and operations

- Maintain daily operational logs, record keeping systems, and manage incoming communications

- Monitor and coordinate external contractors on site, ensuring OHS compliance and safety standards

- Perform physical maintenance tasks including cleaning, rubbish removal, and general site upkeep to maintain facility presentation

- Foster positive working relationships with all organizations and individuals using and interacting with the marina

Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:

- Current NSW driver's licence and boat operator's licence

- Forklift truck licence with a minimum of 2 years' operational experience

- Advanced boat driving and handling skills with confidence in various marine conditions





- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with professional presentation

- Flexibility to work weekend shifts and meet the operational demands of the role

- Basic computer skills and proficiency with digital applications

- Marina or boat yard experience with knowledge of the marine industry (preferred)

- Proactive "can do" attitude with a commitment to exceptional customer service
