About the Role

Full Time | Permanent | Lilyfield, Sydney

We're looking for Hospitality Operations Manager who is passionate about hospitality, obsessed with delivering exceptional customer experiences, and enjoys leading from the front.

This is not a desk-based management position. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves- whether that's carrying plates, making coffees, pouring drinks, assisting with food service or supporting the team wherever needed to ensure every event is executed flawlessly.





With up to 50 events each month, including multiple events operating simultaneously on weekends, this role offers variety, challenge and the opportunity to lead large-scale events ranging from 100 to 1,000 guests.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operational delivery of every event held at the venue.

Working closely with our Event Coordination, Sales, Culinary and Venue teams, you will ensure every function is delivered exactly as detailed within the Banquet Event Order (BEO), while exceeding client expectations and protecting the Navarra reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute events in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Oversee event setup, pack down and venue reset to ensure every space is prepared for the next function.
- Conduct pre-event briefings with front of house staff
- Train, mentor and support food and beverage team members.
- Provide hands-on operational support, including carrying plates, making coffee, preparing cocktails and serving beverages when required.
- Oversee multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally to ensure seamless event delivery.




- Oversee the complete setup and presentation of all event spaces, including ceremony areas, reception rooms, bars, buffets, AV, furniture, décor and styling.
- Conduct detailed pre-event venue inspections to ensure premium presentation standards.
- Coordinate event service and timings with the Executive Chef and kitchen team.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, beverage service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a visible management presence throughout all events.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and operational challenges.
- Ensure every event exceeds client expectations and is delivered to the highest operational standards.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Demonstrated experience managing hospitality or event operations within a busy venue.
- Strong hands-on food and beverage experience.
- Experience supervising large hospitality teams.
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- A professional presentation and positive attitude.
- Current NSW RSA Certificate.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable).
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
