Loader Operator / Excavator Operator- Sandstone Extraction

As part of the Dixon Quarry Group, Dixon Rock & Block specialises in the extraction and supply of premium sandstone materials.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Loader Operator / Excavator Operator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our Maroota quarry.

About the Role

The role is responsible for the secure and efficient operation of plant and equipment, with a primary focus on Loader Operations / Excavator operations for the extraction and processing of sandstone products.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Demonstrating and maintaining safe work practices in line with WHS requirements
- Operating various plant and equipment, predominantly loaders and excavators
- Performing routine inspections and minor maintenance (refuelling, lubrication, greasing, general upkeep)
- Completing daily pre-start checks, logbooks and relevant documentation
- Maintaining plant and equipment in a clean, reliable and safe condition

About You





To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- 1–3 years’ experience operating loaders or excavators within quarrying, mining or civil environments
- A sound understanding of WHS requirements and environmental awareness
- Relevant Plant Licences and/or Verification of Competency (VOC)
- The ability to operate multiple types of plant confidently and safely
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate plant and vehicle records
