We are looking for a “hands on” Project Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of Australian experience in either bridge construction, maintenance or remediation to join our QLD team and be part of a fast-growing business, working on upcoming projects based in both metro and country sites.

About the Role

You will work as part of project teams, overseeing a variety of projects. Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring assigned projects, delivering results and being responsible for the scopes of work.
- Providing technical advice regarding design, construction, and program modifications or structural repairs.
- Formulating project plans and assigning responsibilities to staff, and monitoring results.
- Delivering results, performing quality control on budgets, schedules, project plans and staff performance.
- Ensuring best practices are followed in the areas of safety, health, environment, and quality, through the application of company procedures and project plans.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships, providing quality solutions and the successful delivery of projects, within budget and contractual requirements.
- Actively seeking the most capable suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality and value for money.

About You

This role would suit an experienced engineer, looking for an opportunity to work on a wide variety of civil projects.



Key qualifications and skills required include:

- Full working rights to work in Australia.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of Australian industry experience in either bridge construction, maintenance or remediation.
- Proficient understanding of engineering practices.
- Effective understanding of estimating fundamentals.
- Strong engineering project planning and scheduling capabilities.
- Demonstrated commercial knowledge and understanding of contract and project cost control management in the civil engineering industry.
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and proactively identify solutions.
- Sound leadership skills, with the ability to direct staff and operations effectively.
- Potential to manage small remediation projects and teams independently.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to work and relay information with stakeholders at varying levels and foster relationships.
- Strong knowledge of established HSEQ systems and principals, with demonstrated experience in supporting safe working environments.
- Strong Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, finance software (experience in Coins is desirable), CRM software.
