neurothread psychology is seeking a values-aligned psychologist contractor to join our growing boutique psychology practice in the Kallangur/North Lakes region. Employed role would be considered for the right applicant.

We are currently expanding and exploring a larger clinic space to support increased referral demand. This role would suit a warm, reflective and clinically thoughtful psychologist who is interested in joining early in the growth of a values-led, non-corporate private practice.

The role would ideally begin at around 2-3 days per week, with room to grow over time. We are flexible for the right person.

About the role

We are looking for a psychologist contractor to join the clinic on a part-time basis,



with the opportunity to increase days as referral demand grows.

This role may suit someone who:

- Is interested in private practice but wants to work within a supportive, values-aligned clinic;
- Enjoys working with adults and/or older adolescents;
- Values autonomy, flexibility and ethical clinical practice;
- Is interested in developing a meaningful niche caseload;
- Wants to work in a warm, affirming and neurodivergent friendly practice environment;
- Is looking for a boutique, non-corporate clinic setting;
- Would like to join a growing practice at an early stage.

Clinical areas of interest

We are particularly interested in psychologists who are aligned with one or more of the following areas:

- Trauma and PTSD;
- EMDR trained or another trauma specific modality;
- Neurodivergent-affirming therapy;
- ADHD and autism;
- LGBTQIA+ affirming practice;
- Gender-affirming care;
- Sexual wellbeing, intimacy and sexual pain;
- Anxiety, mood, stress and burnout;
- Chronic pain or chronic health;
- Adult ADHD and autism assessment (training can be provided)
- Women's health.

Experience in sex therapy is also not required. However, an active interest in sexual wellbeing, sexual pain, intimacy, relationships and affirming sexual health practice is important. Training and support can be provided in this area for the right clinician. Note that we currently only offer individual therapy.

You do not need to work across every focus area. Values alignment,



clinical thoughtfulness and willingness to practice affirmingly are more important than already having every niche fully developed.

About you

You will need to be:

- AHPRA registered as a psychologist, clinical psychologist, clinical psychology registrar or other area of endorsement;
- Eligible for a Medicare provider number;
- Able to work independently in private practice;
- Warm, reliable and reflective;
- Committed to ethical, evidence-informed practice;
- LGBTQIA+ affirming;
- Gender-affirming;
- Neurodivergent-affirming;
- Trauma-informed;
- Sex positive;
- Comfortable working with clients aged 15+ or adults only;
- Have/getting an ABN

- Have Professional indemnity and public liability insurance;
- Interested in being part of a growing boutique clinic.

neurothread psychology currently works with clients across the Kallangur, North Lakes and broader Moreton Bay region, with expansion into a larger clinic space in the Kallangur/North Lakes area.

The practice is well positioned for clients across Kallangur, North Lakes, Mango Hill, Griffin, Murrumba Downs, Redcliffe, Rothwell, Deception Bay, Narangba, Burpengary and the broader Moreton Bay region.
