Salson Projects (commercial fit-outs) and Renovare (residential renovations) are Brisbane-based building companies delivering shopfitting, office fit-out and home renovation projects across South East Queensland.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to work across both arms of our business — leading residential renovation projects with Renovare and supporting commercial fit-outs with Salson Projects. You'll need strong residential renovation experience and be ready to take charge of a small crew on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate small crews on residential and commercial sites
- Carry out residential renovation carpentry: framing, structural alterations, decking, doors/windows, kitchens, built-ins and finishing carpentry
- Carry out commercial fit-out carpentry: joinery, partitions, shopfronts and fixtures
- Read and interpret plans and scopes of work
- Mentor apprentices and check quality of their work
- Maintain a safe worksite and comply with WHS requirements
What You'll Need
- Current White Card
- Solid, demonstrable experience in residential renovations (essential)
- Experience operating as, or ready to step up to, a leading hand
- Own tools and current drivers license
- Comfortable working in occupied residential homes with a professional, client-facing manner
