Brisbane City Council is seeking motivated and customer focused individuals to join our Bus Operator Traineeship Program.

No previous bus driving experience is required.

We'll provide the training, support and development needed to help you build a rewarding long-term career helping keep Brisbane moving.

What you'll be doing

As a Bus Operator Trainee, you'll complete a structured training program before operating Brisbane City Council buses across the city.

You'll learn how to:

- Safely operate passenger vehicles
- Assist customers with travel information
- Maintain secure and reliable transport services
- Respond professionally to challenging situations




- Contribute to a positive experience for the Brisbane community

Who we're looking for

You may currently work in:

- Retail
- Hospitality
- Education
- Community services
- Administration
- Defence
- Transport and logistics

Most importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and customer service.

- Australian C Class driver's licence held for at least three years
- Good driving history
- Ability to obtain a Queensland Driver Authorisation
- Availability to attend the full training program
