The Opportunity:
Join our high – performing Chemtrans projects team in this casual position as an experienced Dangerous Goods Driver. You’ll handle local, linehaul and country routes, including container and rail deliveries.
This role is perfect for semi-retired professional or those seeking flexible, causal work. Work when it suits you and enjoy time off when you chose.
You will:
- Complete deliveries and secure loads safely with load restraint tools
- Conduct pre-start vehicle checks
- Adapt quickly to changing operational needs and requirements
- Accurately complete required documentation in accordance with legal requirements
- Operate and maintain equipment per company policy and safety standards
- Provide skilled, courteous service to meet customer needs
- Ensure all equipment is operational and maintained as per policy, maintenance systems, and specification manuals
- Ensure a safety working environment by upholding all healthy and safety standards and fulfilling legal responsibilities
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for someone highly disciplined and motivated who takes pride in the work they do.
You will need to be experienced and confident in all aspects of Dangerous Goods driving and be able to follow instructions.
You will have:
- Valid MC/HC licence
- Australian citizenship required for security clearance
- Must be able to successfully complete police and ASIO checks
- Successful pre-employment medical outcome
- Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
- Must hold or be willing to obtain an explosives and dangerous goods licence
- Hold MSIC or willingness to obtain
- Rail and port induction a plus
- Side loader, SSAN Explosives transport experience preferred
- Reach stacker and side loader experience beneficial
- Experience with local, country, and interstate deliveries
