About the Opportunity

O'Brien Electrical & Plumbing Lismore is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to join our growing electrical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrician who enjoys leading by example, mentoring others, and delivering high-quality projects. Working alongside our Project Managers and leadership team, you'll play a key role in coordinating site activities, leading crews, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

We deliver a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects across the Northern Rivers and have a solid pipeline of ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors on site
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and commissioning works
- Plan and schedule daily site activities to meet project deadlines
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Monitor quality, productivity,



and compliance with electrical standards
- Conduct toolbox talks and maintain site safety requirements
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labour requirements
- Liaise with Project Managers, builders, clients, and other trades
- Assist with identifying and resolving site issues to keep projects on track
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior team members

About You

- Qualified Electrician with a current NSW Electrical Licence
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand or in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical installations
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate site activities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Solid commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
- Ability to read and interpret plans and project documentation
- Current Driver's Licence

Desirable

- Experience with simPRO or similar job management software
- First Aid and CPR certification
- EWP, Working at Heights, and other relevant industry tickets
