Best Day Ever Group Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to contribute to a quick-paced and customer-focused environment.

Position: Chef (Full-Time)
Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
Location: Stones Corner QLD 4120.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

Assist in the development and planning of menus, including seasonal and special offerings.

Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

Manage food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.

Minimise food wastage through effective stock rotation and inventory management practices.

Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required.

Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

Contribute ideas for menu improvements and operational efficiencies.





Coordinate kitchen rostering and allocate staff to meet operational requirements

Work closely with management to achieve budget, cost control, and business objectives.

Develop and implement standard recipes and kitchen procedures to maintain consistency.

Certificate in Cookery OR Diploma of Hospitality Management

At least one (1) year of full time experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.

Sound understanding of stock control and cost management principles.

Creative approach to menu development and food presentation.

Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and support junior staff.

Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts as required.
