Lead the operational performance and strategic management of a complex statewide asset portfolio
Our client is a large Queensland-based for-purpose organisation with an extensive portfolio of community assets across the state. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced asset and operations leader to join the senior leadership team and lead the ongoing management, performance and continuous improvement of this diverse property portfolio.
This is a newly established leadership role with accountability for the lifecycle management, operational performance and compliance of the organisation's built assets. Providing leadership across maintenance, fleet and asset management functions, you will ensure assets remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose, while driving the organisation's transition from a predominantly reactive maintenance model to a more strategic, preventative and data-driven approach. The role will also play a key part in implementing a new Enterprise Asset Management platform and embedding contemporary asset management practices across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership across maintenance operations, fleet and asset management functions.
- Leading the implementation and optimisation of an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Driving preventative maintenance strategies, asset lifecycle planning and long-term renewal programs.
- Strengthening contractor management, governance, compliance and operational performance.
- Providing strategic advice on asset performance, operational risk and future investment priorities.
- Building a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture.
To be successful, you will bring demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-site asset portfolios, ideally within sectors such as local government, healthcare, education, aged care, community services or other infrastructure-intensive environments.
Candidates with an engineering background will be viewed favourably; however, this will not come at the expense of strong leadership capability, communication skills and demonstrated experience leading organisational improvement. You will be an engaging and approachable leader who enjoys building relationships, developing people and influencing positive change.
An attractive package which includes a suppliedvehicle is on offer, together with non-profit salary packaging perks and the opportunity to make a genuine contribution within a purpose-driven organisation.
