About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Research and Insights team, and lead the development of solutions that maximise the value of our corporate data. The purpose of this role is to lead the organisational approach to data governance, analytics, and evidence-based decision making. This role focuses on supporting business needs through data analyses, data visualisation and reporting, development and refinement of data pipelines, and delivering continuous improvement in data governance. The types of data sources relevant to the role are diverse with a primary focus on corporate systems (e.g., financial, workforce, governance).

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical expertise in data analytics tools and languages, including SQL, Power Query, Python, and/or R.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing data solutions, including data pipelines, transformation, storage, and integration.




- Advanced data modelling and architecture knowledge, including system integration and data lakehouse/medallion architecture principles.
- Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualisation tools, such as Power BI or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management practices, including data cleansing, standardisation, and curation.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and deliver outcomes under pressure and within deadlines.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder
