The Role

An opportunity exists for a Senior Estimator / Estimator to join our team. You will be based on-site in our newly renovated office facility located in Windsor, with access to our fully equipped gym and staff lunches.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, your key responsibilities include:





- Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of commercial construction projects for both public and private clients;
- Evaluating project plans and specifications, analysing costs, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to develop comprehensive bid proposals;
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements; and
- Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they understand the scope, cost, and timeline of the project.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the below;

- Relevant practical experience in pricing commercial construction projects;
- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a similar field;
- Advanced level knowledge of computerised estimating software, preferably Buildsoft / Cube It;
- An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in subcontractor bills and negotiations;
- A solid understanding of industry/project risk and strategic opportunities to secure successful projects;
- Well developed knowledge of the construction process and common challenges; and
- Experience in managing customer relationships including developing and maintaining.
