Aquis Park, home of the Gold Coast Turf Club, is one of the Gold Coast's premier entertainment and event destinations. Set across a stunning 34-hectare site in the heart of Surfers Paradise, just minutes from the beach, our venue hosts everything from thrilling race days and concerts to corporate conferences, gala dinners, school formals, weddings, private celebrations and major community events.

No two days are the same, and we're looking for an enthusiastic Audio Visual Technician to help bring these events to life.

The Opportunity

As our Audio Visual Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring every event looks and sounds exceptional. Working Tuesday to Saturday, you'll manage and maintain the venue's AV and technology systems while supporting our operations and events teams to deliver seamless experiences for thousands of guests.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage and maintain the venue's audio visual systems and infrastructure.

Set up and operate AV equipment for race days, conferences, functions and special events.

Work closely with our Events and Operations teams to ensure all equipment is tested, functioning and event-ready.

Coordinate with external partners including Sky Racing, Foxtel and TAB.

Install, configure and maintain audio systems, mixing consoles, amplifiers, LCD displays, digital signage and PA systems.

Assist our IT provider with maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, software and hardware across the venue.

Install and troubleshoot data networks,



cabling and Ubiquiti networking equipment.

Diagnose technical issues and provide rapid, practical solutions to minimise downtime.

Contribute ideas that improve our technology, event delivery and guest experience.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great experiences behind the scenes.

Ideally you'll have:

Experience working with professional audio visual systems in events, hospitality or production.

At least 3 years' experience in the AV, production or corporate events industry (preferred).

A willingness to work flexible days including Saturdays and evenings as per our race and events schedule, across multiple onsite venues.

Strong knowledge of audio mixers, wireless microphone systems, venue control systems, LCD displays and computer equipment.

Experience with audio setup, programming and live sound mixing.

Understanding of networking, data cabling, servers and Ubiquiti devices.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A willingness to undertake physical work, including equipment installation and event setup.
