About The Opportunity
At Karinya Place, you’ll enjoy a peaceful location in the heart of Lockyer Valley, surrounded by gentle country landscapes. In this position, you will be preparing and serving high quality meals to our aged care residents, with a focus on nutrition, flavour, and dignity. This role allows you to have a positive impact on our residents’ daily lives through thoughtful and enjoyable food experiences.
This is a full-time role requiring availability Monday to Friday between 9:30 AM and 5:36 PM.
Your Day-to-day Will Involve
- Prepare high-quality, fresh meals that meet residents’ dietary requirements and personal preferences.
- Collaborate with clinical and care staff to accommodate individual resident needs and uphold meal choice and nutrition standards.
- Provide support and guidance to kitchen staff, contributing to a positive and respectful team setting.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and always adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
About You
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience with large volume food production, preferably fresh cook
- Knowledge of modified diets and food safety standards
- A compassionate, resident-focused approach
- Previous experience in Aged Care/Hospital kitchen is desirable
