PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR AUNZ (Part Time)
Purpose of the Job
The Payroll Administrator AUNZ is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across Australia and New Zealand while maintaining compliance with relevant payroll legislation, Awards, and pension requirements. The role supports payroll operations by managing employee payroll data, resolving payroll-related queries, and collaborating closely with HR to deliver a seamless employee experience. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining payroll accuracy and compliance.
This is a part-time, onsite role based in Wynnum, Brisbane, requiring approximately 25-30 hours per week.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Checking the number of hours employees have worked
- Calculating wages and salaries
- Issuing employees’ wages by cash, cheque or electronic transfer
- Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data
- Calculating pay raises, shift payments and overtime compensation
- Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them
- Deducting tax and insurance payments
- Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters
- Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Australian payroll with a strong understanding of Awards interpretation and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and calculation skills using Excel (Pivot Table, VLookup)
- Well versed in payrolls and pension schemes in Australia and New Zealand.
- Strong communication skill in English.
- Strong sense of ownership, proactiveness, and agility.
