We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join leading metal recycling and resource recovery operations across Sydney. These are excellent opportunities to work with established industrial businesses that play a key role in Australia's recycling and manufacturing sectors.

- $55.00 - $65.00 per hour + super

- Ongoing and temp-to-perm opportunities

About the role

Working across busy recycling facilities and heavy industrial environments, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintenance and repair of conveyors, shredders, crushers, balers, and processing equipment
- Mechanical fitting and assembly work
- Fault finding and breakdown repairs
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings




- Working safely within heavy industrial and recycling plant environments
- General workshop and plant duties as required

To be successful, you will possess the following:

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within heavy industry, manufacturing, recycling, or processing plants
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
- Experience working on conveyors, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and heavy machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable attitude with a solid work ethic
