About the role:
An exciting sales opportunity exists within the Humes Ipswich business for the position of SEQ Water Solutions Manager. Reporting to the SEQ Sales Manager, this role will set and implement the strategic direction for this line of business, which encompasses a range of award-winning stormwater products. In this role you will closely with the National Water Solutions team and the SEQ sales team to achieve sales targets and provide technical, strategic and marketing input. This may include project technical design, influencing State and Local Government policies, identifying potential markets and sales opportunities and evaluating strategies for defending and growing the portfolio in Southeast Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their needs.
- Searching for new clients who will benefit from our products and stormwater solutions and maximising client potential.
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Work closely with the national water solutions team on product development and testing.
- Train and lead the SEQ Sales Team on Stormwater Solutions products.
- Consider, set and implement a strategic direction for the Water Solutions business in SEQ.
- Participate in regional marketing activities, exhibitions, conferences, launches and sales presentations.
About you
Ideally you are passionate about the environment, water and sustainability. Qualifications in civil / environmental engineering, environmental science, or business with an environmental/sustainability focus will be highly regarded.
Experience in a stormwater solutions space, coupled with additional experience in a technical sales role will also be highly regarded.
Qualifications / Personal Attributes:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Water Engineering/Science is desirable.
- Qualifications in Marketing or Business will be considered with suitable industry experience.
- Technical sales experience would be valuable along with proven ability to recognise potential sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders is considered essential.
