About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Teacher for Physics to join our Science team. This role offers the opportunity to coordinate and deliver Foundation and Diploma Physics courses equivalent to first-year UNSW Physics subjects through lectures, tutorials, workshops, laboratories and student consultations.
Your day to day will consist of:
- Delivering engaging lectures to both small and large groups of students
- Delivering tutorials and other small group workshops and consultations by employing a mix of high impact teaching strategies that promote student engagement, comprehension and progression
- Assist in the development, overseeing, and maintenance of a range of appropriate formative and summative assessment tools
- Coordinate and/or conduct laboratories
- Coordinate the development, review, improvement, and maintenance of curricula
- Proactively recommend initiatives and provide support on matters relating to student learning needs and welfare
- Collaborate with academic and professional teams to achieve organisational objectives.
