Support Worker – Inclusive Employment (ADE)

What you will do
- Support clients to safely complete their workplace duties and achieve their employment goals.
- Provide individualised support that promotes independence, choice and control.
- Assist clients to learn new tasks through demonstration, coaching and encouragement.
- Support clients on the production line with tasks including assembly, packing, sorting and other workplace activities.
- Promote a safe and inclusive workplace by following all health, safety and quality procedures.
- Build positive relationships with clients, colleagues and workplace partners.
- Support accurate documentation, incident reporting and compliance requirements.
- Encourage clients to develop workplace skills, confidence and independence.
What you will bring
- Certificate III or above in Individual Support,
Disability, Aged Care, Community Services (or currently working towards).
- Experience supporting people with disability in an employment, community, day program or similar environment.
- A genuine passion for supporting people to achieve their goals and participate in meaningful work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow workplace procedures.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check through Afford's pre-employment process (paid by Afford).
- Ability to complete a pre-employment functional assessment to ensure you can safely perform the physical requirements of the role (paid by Afford).
- Passport, Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate to validate Australian Work Rights.
