Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Estimator to join our team at our Rocklea facility.

About the Role

As a Production Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate estimates, material take-offs and production documentation to support the successful delivery of manufacturing projects. You will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Project teams to ensure quotations are commercially competitive, technically accurate and aligned with customer requirements.

This is an excellent prospect for someone with estimating experience in manufacturing, steel fabrication or construction who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates from customer drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Complete quantity take-offs and material take-offs.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier pricing and quotations.
- Prepare quotations and tender documentation.
- Liaise with customers to clarify project requirements where required.
- Coordinate with Production,



Purchasing and Project teams to ensure accurate project handovers.
- Maintain estimating records, documentation and databases.
- Assist with estimate revisions, project variations and post-award clarifications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as an Estimator within manufacturing, steel fabrication, engineering or construction.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience preparing quantity take-offs and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Desirable

- Experience with estimating, ERP or project management software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and steel fabrication.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing or a related field.
