About ARRC Gold Coast

The Advanced Resource Recovery Centre, or ARRC, is transforming how the Gold Coast manages its waste and turns it into value.

Owned by the City of Gold Coast, this $1.6 billion precinct is set to become one of the world’s first planned waste and energy precincts – providing Gold Coast residents a new value-for-money and environmentally responsible way to manage our region’s waste. It will also divert up to 97% of the waste currently sent to landfill.

Progressively rolling out during the next six years, our initial focus is three integrated but distinct facilities – ARRC Organics, ARRC Recycling and ARRC Energy. The three facilities will process the waste from your green, yellow and red bins respectively. In fact, ARRC Organics in Yatala is already doing just that.

ARRC is also developing a circular economy innovation park (ARRC Innovation) and community hub (ARRC Hub) as well as looking at opportunities to decarbonise the City’s vehicles through ARRC Hydrogen.

The Prospect

We're seeking a proactive and commercially minded Financial & Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial & Finance team. In this role, you'll support financial performance, commercial decision making, pricing strategies, investment evaluations and business growth initiatives across the ARRC environment. Working closely with operational and corporate stakeholders, you'll help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance commercial outcomes and support sustainable business growth.

Your Key Responsibilities – Make Your Mark

Financial Analysis & Reporting

Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial reports and key performance indicators

Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and improvement opportunities

Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making





Develop dashboards and analytical tools to improve visibility if financial and operational performance

Identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts

Develop financial models and scenario analyses to inform planning and investment decisions

Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial planning.

Commercial & Strategic Support

Contribute to business cases, investment appraisals and commercial evaluations

Support pricing reviews, cost recovery assessments and pricing strategy development

Monitor contract profitability and business performance against commercial assumptions

Provide tender pricing and evaluation support for new business opportunities

Provide financial insights to support growth initiatives, partnerships and market development activities.

Process Improvement & Compliance

Ensure adherence to ARRC financial policies, systems, and reporting standards

Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting accuracy

Support internal audit and compliance activities as required.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships across business units and functions

Present financial information clearly and confidently to non-financial stakeholders

Partner with leaders to drive a culture of accountability and informed decision-making.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline

Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems experience

Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools will be highly regarded.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial analysis, reporting, or corporate finance

Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven insight generation

Strong understanding of financial principles, commercial analysis, and business drivers.

Personal Attributes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Effective written and verbalcommunicationskills,with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
