About the Project

McConnell Dowell, in joint venture with John Holland, is delivering the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project in Far North Queensland for Genex Power— a world-first renewable energy development transforming a former gold mine into a pumped hydro energy storage facility.

Once complete, Kidston will deliver up to 250MW of rapid-response renewable energy to the National Electricity Market, supplying enough electricity to power more than 100,000 homes during peak demand. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a nationally significant infrastructure project helping drive Australia's energy transition.

About the Role

As Senior Supervisor, you will lead site construction teams to safely deliver works in line with project schedules, quality standards and production targets. You will play a key leadership role, coordinating supervisors, subcontractors and crews while maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.

This is an prospect to take ownership on a high-profile project, mentor emerging supervisors and be part of a collaborative joint venture delivering a project that will leave a lasting legacy.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate daily construction activities across your work front.
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance across site.
- Monitor productivity, quality and project milestones to achieve delivery targets.
- Mentor and develop Supervisors to build team capability.
- Identify and resolve site issues while supporting cost, programme and commercial outcomes.

What will you bring?





- Proven experience leading construction teams on major infrastructure or civil projects.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Foreman or Senior Supervisor.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to safety, quality and delivery.
- Trade qualification or equivalent construction industry experience (desirable).
