About the Role

We’re looking for a top-level Workshop Manager / Leading Hand who is still on the tools and can take full control of the workshop.

This role suits someone who leads from the front, handles customers professionally, and backs it up with strong diagnostic ability.

If you’re not confident with diagnostics or can’t manage workflow, this role won’t suit.

Key Responsibilities

- Work on the tools daily - servicing, repairs, and fault finding
- Run the front counter - bookings, customer interaction, and job control
- Quote and invoice jobs accurately
- Diagnose faults efficiently (not just parts swapping)




- Allocate and manage workflow across the workshop
- Direct and mentor apprentices
- Maintain productivity and workshop standards

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Workshop Manager
- Strong diagnostic capability (essential)
- Confident dealing with customers face-to-face
- Can manage pressure, workload, and deadlines
- Takes ownership and treats the workshop like their own
